The Dangers of Producing News
Monday night’s NBC17 news at 11pm ended with a little tragedy. Producer Kim Prus ended up in the emergency room with a fractured foot after a newsroom mishap.
In the commercial break before the last segment there were a few changes. While Kim was bringing the new scripts out to the anchors on the set, she took a tumble and hurt her ankle (she thought). After spending two hours in the local emergency room, she was diagnosed with a ballerina type fracture of the 5th metatarsal. Now, I’m not sure what all that means, but there are now crutches involved and possibly a cast later this week.
The World spoke with Kim Tuesday night and she seems to be resting comfortably and hopes to be back at work soon. She has a trip scheduled to the orthopedic surgeon Thursday.
