Ken Luallen Gone In A Flash
NBC17 reporter Ken Luallen has filed his last report for the Triangle’s peacock network. Unfortunately, Friday was Ken’s last day in the news business as he gets ready to devote 100 percent of his time to his photography business.

Ken has been with NBC17 since 2005 and is one of best reporters we have, but his photography business is now at a point where it needs all of his attention and that’s exactly what it’s going to get.
Ken had a pretty dramatic start to his career in the news business. September 11, 2001, Ken was at ABC News in New York, where he was working with John Stossel at 20/20. As the events of that morning unfolded, Ken made his way to the World News Tonight set where he watched Peter Jennings deliver the news story of our lifetime.
Ken knew he wanted to be a reporter that day, he also felt journalism was the most exciting way to use his English literature degree from Dartmouth. After his first job at 20/20, he worked as a writer in the newsrooms of WABC and WNBC in the Big Apple. In 2003, he landed a reporter job at News 12 in the Bronx and then it was on to the NBC affiliate in Hartford, Conn., where he was working as a reporter before coming to WNCN.
Ken isn’t leaving North Carolina though…he’s staying right here in the Triangle, camera in hand. And if you too thought Ken was a great reporter, wait until you see his photography. Check it out right here. Send him an e-mail if you like.
Good luck Ken, you will be missed!
