NC State Wolf Mascot “Performs” Weather
In case you missed the 6th annual NBC17 Health and Fitness Festival last weekend at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds, please allow me to fill you in on all the excitement.
Aside from the health and fitness information provided by various organizations, the festival provided a rock climbing wall, NASCAR simulator, demonstrations, dance stages and a walking track with numerous children’s activities. We also had an area for attendees to learn more about the 2009 DTV (digital television) conversion.
By far, the most popular (according to me) event was the NBC17 weather wall, where children and adults of all ages could tape their own weather forecast and receive a DVD as a souvenir. Well, this station wasn’t just open to humans apparently. Roaming around the festival was the Wolf mascot from North Carolina State University. When he found out about the weather wall, we couldn’t keep him away. The wolf had his own interpretation of how one should act while doing the weather and we were lucky enough to capture it on DVD. And after watching his dance styling’s…I took the liberty of overlaying the appropriate music to match.
Enjoy!

Mike Ward (former GM) was forced to retire early (read fired) for pulling a stunt like this, back when NBC owned the station.
(I think his version was far worse, though, from what I hear.)
