Geneen Anderson Heading South To Miami
You may have noticed someone missing from this weekend’s newscasts at NBC17. Weekend weather anchor Geneen Anderson is heading south for the winter…and summer, spring and fall. Geneen has accepted a job at WPLG, the ABC station in Miami, Florida. So now, instead of hanging out with Wes, Bill and Peter in the Triangle; she will be hanging out with the likes of Will (Smith), Gloria (Estefan) and Dwyane (Wade) on Miami Beach.
Geneen joined the NBC17 Precision Weather team in 2005 after working in other cities like New York and Atlanta. She is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and has long been fascinated by the weather. Although it’s probably a safe bet that she will not see as much snow in Miami as she once did in Ohio.
